Questions about this course
What is the SOSTAC framework in digital marketing and how does it relate to STP and the 7Ps?
SOSTAC sets out a marketing plan in six stages: Situation, Objectives, Strategy, Tactics, Action and Control. STP (segmentation, targeting and positioning) usually sits inside the Strategy stage, and the 7Ps extend the marketing mix into the Tactics stage. In this course you learn to explain SOSTAC, STP and the 7Ps together as linked planning frameworks, so you can show how they connect when an exam question asks for it.
What is the social media honeycomb model and how do you apply it to different platforms?
The honeycomb model splits social media into functional building blocks, such as identity, conversation, sharing, presence, relationships, reputation and groups. Platforms weight these blocks differently, so applying the model means asking which functions a given platform stresses and what that means for a brand. The course has you apply the honeycomb to real social platforms and then connect it to influencers, UGC, eWOM and virality, so you can analyze platforms instead of just listing features.
How do RACE, PESO and marketing funnel models differ, and how is digital marketing measured?
RACE (Reach, Act, Convert, Engage) tracks the customer lifecycle, PESO sorts channels into paid, earned, shared and owned media, and funnel models show customers moving from awareness to purchase. Measurement means calculating metrics at each stage and choosing an attribution model, for example first-touch, last-touch or multi-touch, to decide which touchpoints get credit for a conversion. In this course you map RACE, PESO and funnel models side by side, then practise calculating metrics and comparing attribution models the way an exam question might ask.
What will I be able to do after this course?
You'll be able to recall and explain the main digital and social media marketing concepts and frameworks, including SOSTAC, STP, the 7Ps, RACE, PESO, funnels and the honeycomb model. You'll also be able to calculate metrics, compare attribution models and write exam answers that link back to the right framework. You'll have three days of self-testing planned to help the material stay with you.
How is learning with a live tutor different from reading articles or asking a chatbot?
Kimmy, your tutor, talks through each topic with you, checks what you understand and adjusts the lesson to fit how you're doing. You don't just read definitions. You explain frameworks in your own words and get feedback, which is the skill exams actually test. Kimmy's style is warm and even, so you can work through weak spots without pressure.
